Yemen is not spared by the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. According to the United Nations, the COVID-19 death rate in the country has reached 20%. But in reality, the number of deaths is undoubtedly much higher than the one delivered by official reports. The virus has spread without control. Hospitals, already affected by the bombings, are unable to cope with the situation and are facing a shortage of medical equipment and medicines. People are afraid. We have never experienced such a situation, even after 5 long years of conflict.

However, Y30 is still active on the ground. We continue to support our 2 charity restaurants in Sana’a. Indeed, the demand for hot meals is increasing and the health crisis reinforces the pressure exerted on the most vulnerable. In addition, we are working daily to implement several development projects which aim at reviving the Yemeni agricultural sector and local food production in order to fight against poverty and food insecurity.

Our fight isn’t over yet. Every donation matters and you can make the difference today. More than ever, we need your help!
