Believing that healthcare is a fundamental right for everyone, Y30 Association has successfully concluded its Sign Language Training Program, implemented in collaboration with the Health and Environment Office of the Capital Secretariat, as part of its ongoing commitment to creating more inclusive and accessible healthcare services for all members of society.

For many deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, seeking medical care can be a stressful experience due to communication barriers that make it difficult to explain symptoms or understand medical instructions. Breaking these barriers is essential to ensuring that every person receives healthcare with dignity, respect, and equal opportunity.

The training program equipped 20 healthcare professionals working in medical centers with essential sign language skills, enabling them to communicate more effectively with deaf and mute patients and better understand their needs.

The program covered health centers located in the districts of Al-Safiya and Azal, where participants received hands-on training and communication skills to help them interact with patients with hearing impairments with confidence and professionalism, thereby enhancing the quality of health care and ensuring their unimpeded access to services.

This successful initiative reflects the strong partnership between Y30 Association and the Health and Environment Office of the Capital Secretariat, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts in improving public services and ensuring equal access to healthcare for everyone.
