In the presence of the Yemeni Minister of Agriculture and in collaboration with the specialist and agricultural engineer Mr. Khaled Al-Mahfadi, Y30 organised a seminar dedicated to the farmers of Haraz.

The objectives were to sensitise local farmers to sustainable land use and the benefits of growing both accessible and profitable crops such as almond and coffee trees. Indeed, these products are both useful for domestic consumption and profitable on the local market, as they have a competitive advantage.

The seminar was divided into two sections: the first part was dedicated to women and the second to men. Indeed, Y30 believes that women are active actors of change and agriculture development. More than 70 of them attended the seminar!

The event was also extensively covered by three Yemeni television medias: Agencia EFE, Reuters Agency and Almasirah Channel.
