In cooperation with the Al-Noor Center for the Blind people of Sana’a, Y30 held on the 21st of April 2022 its Annual Fast-Breaking Project for the Blind People of Sana’a. Y30 is very concerned about the situation of disabled people. Our organization deeply respects the courage of these people, because for the average citizens of the capital, life is hard enough in the current humanitarian crisis.

In order to partially facilitate the situation of blind people, we organized alongside the Al-Noor Center a fast-breaking dinner during the holy month of Ramadan. The 21st day of the Islamic month Ramadan has been chosen purposely as it celebrates the beginning of Laylat al-Qadr (Night of Decree). According to the Islamic belief, it was during the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th night of Ramadan when the Quran was sent down from heaven to the believers. Therefore, we decided to invite a large number of blind people together with non-blind people. 800 people managed to attend this event which is stunning.¨
