Support for People with Disabilities

Published : April 22, 2020

In Yemen, our team met with Malak, a girl born in 2011 without limbs and with several health problems. We decided to enroll her in a private specialised school so that she could access appropriate education. She also received her first artificial hand in March 2019!

Inspired by Malak’s story, we launched the ”Prosthetics of Hope” project in December 2019. The aim is to support other Yemeni disabled people (children or adults) who do not have the chance to receive appropriate care (such as medical treatments, wheelchair or artificial limbs) due to war, poverty and lack of medical resources.

Thanks to Dr. Sharah, we selected 12 patients to benefit from the project.

At the beginning of 2021, we distributed 10 wheelchairs to 10 disabled children to make their life and that of their parents a little easier.
