Children with disabilities is one of the most vulnerable and socially excluded groups in Yemen. Both mainstream and special needs education and therapy services for children with disabilities were scarcely available even before the civil war, but now they are almost non-existent. In Yemen, our team met with Malak, a girl born in 2011 without limbs and with several health problems. We decided to enrol her in a private specialised school so that she could receive an appropriate education. She also received her first artificial hand in March 2019! That is how we decided to launch the ''Prosthetics of Hope''
