Since 2015, Yemen has endured a prolonged conflict that has severely worsened humanitarian conditions, making it one of the most critical crises worldwide. The United Nations has designated the situation as a Level 3 humanitarian emergency—the highest classification requiring a comprehensive global response. With the support and dedication of its volunteers, Y30 carries out humanitarian projects in Sana’a to address the most urgent needs of the population.

Restoration of Old Sana’a

Bombardment, neglect, and heavy rain destroyed historic buildings, displacing many families and threatening the Old City’s architectural heritage, which is listed as a World Heritage Site.

Sana’a’s historic neighborhoods, dating back to the pre-11th century, are now more at risk.

Y30 has restored 11 old houses in Sana’a’s old town since 2019, in collaboration with the Old Sana’a Protection Authority, the public heritage authority in the capital city of Sana’a.

With 6,000 more to renovate, these renovations are the first step in the restoration of all buildings.

This project aims to restore 30 homes that have suffered damages or have been destroyed, offering secure and habitable dwellings for families.

At the same time, the project aims to promote local employment and preserve the historic architecture of the old town of Sana’a.

Promotion of Yemeni coffee

The Yemeni coffee promotion project at Y30 Association focuses on highlighting Yemeni coffee as a distinctive cultural heritage product with a rich history and exceptional quality.

The project aims to introduce the world to the unique experience of Yemeni coffee and its remarkable flavor.

The project also relies on producing creative videos using artificial intelligence technologies to showcase the stages of coffee cultivation, farmers’ stories, and traditional preparation methods in a visually engaging way, helping reach a wider audience, raise awareness about Yemeni coffee, and enhance its presence locally and globally.

The project to promote Yemeni history and culture at the Y30 Association aims to highlight Yemen’s civilizational identity and showcase the richness of its cultural and historical diversity across centuries.

The project focuses on presenting Yemeni heritage in a modern way that introduces local and global audiences to the value of this unique human legacy.

The project also relies on producing creative visual content using artificial intelligence technologies to present historical landmarks, traditions, customs, and cultural stories through a contemporary and engaging approach, helping raise awareness of Yemeni history and culture, strengthen its global presence, and preserve it for future generations.
