Safe Motherhood Event at Y30 Institute!
As part of its mission to promote health awareness and strengthen a culture of prevention, the Y30 Institute for Medical and Applied Sciences organized the “Safe Motherhood” event on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the institute’s premises—a day filled with compassion, learning, and community engagement.
The five-hour event welcomed dozens of mothers, students, and visitors who enjoyed a variety of educational and awareness activities on maternal and newborn health.
Event Objective
The event aimed to highlight the importance of maternal health care and raise awareness about safe pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum practices—reflected in its slogan:
“Your health care begins here!”
Educational Stations & Activities
1. Vital Signs Corner:
Allow visitors to measure their blood pressure, pulse, and blood sugar using available devices and learn their importance for maternal well-being.
2. Healthy Nutrition Corner:
Included advanced devices to measure body fat, muscle mass, height, and weight. Free nutritional advice and tailored health programs were offered to mothers and expectant women seeking to maintain a healthy weight. Informational leaflets and giveaways containing helpful dietary tips were also distributed.
3. Pregnancy Consultation Clinic:
Featured models illustrate the stages of fetal growth and the changes women experience during pregnancy. Visitors received guidance and advice from a female gynecologist, along with handouts containing essential tips for a safe and healthy pregnancy.
4. Childbirth and Postpartum Care Clinic:
Displayed a childbirth simulation doll and educational tools to demonstrate the stages of natural labor. Visitors received expert guidance on avoiding complications such as postpartum infections, with consultations led by a specialized gynecologist.
5. Newborn Care Clinic:
Focused on educating mothers about newborn care, emphasizing the importance of breastfeeding and the correct feeding position. Attendees also learned how to swaddle their babies properly and received brochures on common postpartum challenges and the benefits of natural breastfeeding.
